A French hand blown glass sword c1830. Such whimsical things were made by glass blowers to show off their skill.

A pair of Bohemian portrait vases c1860. One bears an image of Cleopatra and the other Venus both after Titian. Such items were extremely fashionable in Victorian England and Continental Europe as well as The Ottoman Empire where fine Bohemian glass is still prized.

An acid etched ruby Bohemian vase c 1840. The quite angular and masculine shape of this vase places it just before the florid burst of high Victorian shape and decoration that was about to happen. If it were a piece of furniture you'd call it classic William IV.

A Bohemian enamelled wine glass c1860. This fine glass would have been made for display rather than use.

A Pair of Bohemian glass vases 1870. Very finely engraved with scenes of deer, extremely rare to come across surviving pairs.

A fine pair of Victorian overlay lustres c1880. Wonderful enamel and gilt decoration on this pair of classically high Victorian decoration.

An English cameo vase c1880. Richardsons were one of leading British manufacturers of decorative glass and this form of coloured cameo decoration was their specialty.

A French Aesthetic Movement vase c1880. An interesting blend of styles this movement was triggerd by the fashion for Japanese objects in France during the 1870's. Japanese colours and forms can be clearly seen on this fine example.

A Thomas Webb satin vase 1886. This registered design of briar roses, wheat and a butterfly is a superb example of Victorian glass making.
