A superb pair of Napoleon III bronze and marble cassolettes c1870. The casting and gilding on these objects is of the best quality.

A sensational Abusson tapestry c1680. This lage and impressive tapestry features a scene of a castle framed by two peacocks. There is fading to the original brighter pigments and various small repairs but the overall condition is superb and will make a spectacular backdrop in a contempory home.

A French Aubusson tapestry c1950 from the Aubusson workshop Robert Four. The piece has it's original label with the artists details, J.C.Bissery, number 28 of 100 and the title "Moyen Age". The Robert Four company commission many leading 20th century artists to design tapestry's in limited editions.

A wonderful pair of Italian silvered wood candle sticks c1850. The candle sticks are silvered over gesso and there is wear and tear to the finish.

A superb Ottoman period brass inlaid brazier c1870. The brass body is finely inlaid with silver and copper arabesques. Standing on three feet with a removable pierced lid, a dish would have sat on the inside rim to hold the charcoals.

A Jurassic period (199-145 million years ago) Madagascan ammonite. Ammonites are an extinct group of marine animals Their fossil shells usually take the form of planispirals. Their name came from their spiral shape as their fossilized shells somewhat resemble tightly-coiled rams' horns. Pliny the Elder (d. 79 A.D. near Pompeii) called fossils of these animals ammonis cornua ("horns of Ammon") because the Egyptian god Ammon (Amun) was typically depicted wearing ram's horns.

A bronze hand bell from the late Roman period, 2nd - 3rd century. Bells were used a great deal in Roman society, in temples, at funerals, for particular Gods and even prostitutes used them! So who knows the racy past past this bell had.
