Dancer Resting, oil on canvas by Vincent brown, Australian dated 1943. Brown's work is highly collected and is in most State collections.

Breton Peasants Dancing by Jean Young c1940. A wonderfully exuberant work by this interesting mid century Brittish artist. Very much in the moderninst tradition there is a naive childlike quality about it that is very appealing.

"The Red Robe" oil by Kalman Kemeny c1950. Kemeny was an interesting artist based in London after being a war artist in WWI and escaping Nazism in the late thirties. He painted portraits and still lifes with a great mid century feel.

Un Coin du Casino, pastel dated 1920 by Edouard Jules Eveno, French. An interesting work showing dancing couples in a cosmopolitan Parisian bar.

A Circus Performer, oil on board by John Santry, Australian c1960. Santry was also a cartoonist and illustrator, a quality which is evadent in this light hearted work. His work is in most state collections.

Josephine Baker, pen drawing by Jean Cocteau, French c1930. Jean Cocteau was one of the most important multi disciplinarian artists of the 20th century making films, painting, drawing, writing novels and plays and producing ceramics and murals. Josephine Baker dazzled Paris in 1925 with her revue. Her arrival coincided with the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs and she became an Art Deco icon.

"Portrait of Edith" signed oil on board, Hungarian/British by Kalman Kemeny c1940. Kemeny was a war artist for the Austro Hungarians in the First World War and fled to London to escape the Nazis in the 1930's. His work has a wonderful British late Deco modernist feel and his portraits of women are particularly beautiful.

Cannes, a pen drawing by Jean Cocteau, French c1930. A signed work this is a great example of the single line, slightly cubist, drawings that Cocteau was most famous for. He used this technique to illustrate his books.
