"Plymouth Market" oil on canvas by Nicholas Condy, English dated 1836. This is a truly exquisite work from the last year of William IV's reign. The detailed work of the women and the fish on their stalls is beautiful. It also has the most superb original gilt frame.

Le Retour des Champs (Home From the Fields), oil on porcelain by J Bru after Bouguereau, French dated1881. Interestingly this is an oil on porcelain and is unfired. Superb quality work in its original gilt frame.

Portrait of Peg Woffington, oil on canvas by Henry Morland, English c1760. Margaret "Peg" Woffington was a Georgian actress who you could call the Madonna of her era leading a very racy life indeed!

"Portrait of a Young Man" by H. Williams after Durer dated 1930. Hubert Williams was a wonderful British modernist painter of portraits, landscapes and architectural scenes. This charming work is the style of Durer.

Portrait of a Musician, oil on canvas, Italian School c1760. Superb contrasts between light and dark make the subject of this work almost appear to emerge out of the canvas.

A French Vanitas oil on copper c1700. These symbolic works are intended to make us ponder the transient nature of vanity and the meaninglessness of earthly life. It retains its original carved oak frame.
