Chinese Ivory Puzzle ball

A fine Chinese ivory puzzle ball c1900. These extraordinary objects were made as a virtuoso display of carving technique and the ball section is made out of one solid piece of ivory with free moving layers inside. This one has six levels with dragons carved on the outside. There is a smaller ball included in the stand and the whole thing unscrews into four pieces. It is in generally good condition with some minor losses to the points of the very base and a minor loss to a tiny part of the fret work to the ball.
