Dromedary Blue & White Ashet by Riley's
"Dromedary" blue & white ashet by John & Richard Riley c1820. Again this piece shows the transition from copied Chinese designs to local ones. The border is very European whilst the foliage is Chinese and the temple is drawn from late 18th early 19th cent illustrations. There are some minor nibbles to the rim. Unmarked but this design was introduced by Riley's who manufactured from 1802-1828.
