Angelica Kauffman was a painter of allegorical and mythological subjects, portraits & genre scenes and a founder member of the Royal Academy. Amongst other things she worked closely with the Adam brothers on many of their interiors commissions and her work can also still be seen on the ceilings of the Royal Academy at Burlington House in London.
