Imari charger

An Imari charger with boldly coloured "Dutch Merchant" designs around the rim. This style of design was first introduced in the 17th century following the first European mercantile expeditions to Imperial Japan and was revived again in the late 19th century. This example is c1880 and of good size and colour and in perfect condition.
