Mahogany Campaign Chest
A mid Victorian mahogany campaign chest of drawers c1870. Brass bound and in two pieces this is typical of the pieces made throughout the 19th century for the young scions of Empire. They were often made in India by Chinese labour and then exported to Britain. Fine original colour and turned legs. Shown with a pair of Edwardian riding boots, Japanese Imari stick stand c1890, and three extraordinary taxidermied albino cobras and a mongoose c1900.
