Napoleon III Boulle cabinet
A good Napoleon III Boulle cabinet c1870. André-Charles Boulle first developed the technique of inlaying tortoiseshell and brass onto furniturein France in the seventeenth century. It has gone through many periods of being rediscovered and this superb piece dates from the 1870's when the fashion for Boulle was at it's height again.
