Set of eight blue and white plates

A fine set of eight blue and white dinner plates marked in underglaze blue on the base of each "Beauties of England and Wales", unknown maker c1820. Each plate bears the same central image and is in perfect condition.

The series of book plates from which the images were drawn were published between 1801 and 1808.
