18th century Portrait

A charming early 18th century oil on canvas ‘Portrait of a Lady as a Shepherdess’ by a follower of Sir Godfrey Kneller. Kneller (1646-1723) was the foremost portrait painter of his generation in Britain and inspired numerous painters to follow his style. The work has been professionally cleaned.
