George Clarkson Stanfield

Heading Out - a superbly painted oil on canvas signed and dated by George Clarkson Stanfield 1846. Stanfield was born in London in 1828 and died in Hampstead in 1878. He studied at The Royal Academy and later became a member, exhibiting in London from 1834 until 1876. His work is represented in many collections including The Victoria & Albert Museum and the National Gallery of Victoria. The work has been professionally cleaned.
