Georges Carette landscape

“The Seine at Roleboise” A fabulous impressionist oil on canvas by Georges-Emile Carette c 1900. Georges-Emile Carette was a painter of landscapes and genre born at Paris in 1854. He was a member of the Societé des Artistes Francaises and exhibited at their Salons from 1893. In 1920 he exhibited at the Salon d’Automne and later at the Salon Nationale and was invited to exhibit at the Tuilleries from 1927 to 1933, the year he died. He was an Officer of the Legion of Honour. Framed dimensions: 104cm x 82cm.
