John Frederick Herring

‘Farmyard Friends’ Oil on panel by John Frederick Herring Junior c1860. Herring was pupil of hIs father, JF Herring Snr and was a talented painter of farm scenes, skilled in both composition and light effects. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1860-1875 and his work is represented in the Tate. The work has been professionally cleaned and retains its original gilt frame. The diameter is 45cm.
