Louis Ernest Guille

An arresting picture of a butcher and his dog by Louis Ernest Guille signed and dated 1874. Guille was a pupil of Bonnard and he exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1876. The work has been professionally cleaned and retains its original fabulous frame and the image measures 82cm x 65cm. The last photograph is of Guille taken in Paris in 1868 and is now in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
