A superb and extremely practical mid 19th century mahogany ’Gentleman’s Compactum’ stamped Holland & Sons c1850. From 1843 Holland & Sons were one of the largest and most successful cabinetmakers in London and rivals of Gillows. These cabinets provide wonderful wardrobe storage but can fit in spaces a taller piece couldn’t. We use several in our bedrooms which all have pitched attic roofs and the compactums sit perfectly just beneath the pitch! Dimensions: 208.5cm wide x 64.5cm deep x 132.5cm tall.
