SOLD: ‘Fête champêtre’ a fabulous mid 19th century Italian verre églomisé panel. Verre églomisé is not unlike Chinese reverse glass paintings in that the painting and gilding is applied to the reverse of a piece of glass. The original gilt frame is also sensational! The glass panel measures 42cm x 35cm.
